Rusa Deer — Rusa timorensis
Rusa deer feature in the Illawarra and South Coast control project and the NSW and Victoria thermal drone census record.
The Illawarra & South Coast NSW project lists rusa deer alongside fallow and sambar deer for cross-tenure coordinated ground and aerial culling.
The Thermal Drone Population Census & Density Mapping project for NSW & Victoria Australia also names rusa deer. Refer to the individual project sources for the location-specific survey scope, control approach and limitations.
